“When we let go of the stories we tell about ourselves, to ourselves, we free ourselves up to actually act (and fail) and grow.” – Mark Manson, an excerpt from his book: The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F***.
He is totally right.
Once we let down our guards of ourselves, let go of our expectations, fallacies, and inner (mind) critics, we can give ourselves the grace necessary to try, fail, learn, and grow.
If we can practice altering our minds to let go, I truly believe we would see a lot of self-growth. Who wants to try with me?! We can be accountability buddies 🙂
Also, teens, struggling with idea of failure, self doubt, etc (same!)? This book is for you. It is written for adults but the message is extremely applicable to us too. The mindset shifts are life changing and will mature you a few years beyond your age 🙂 (I’m only 17!)
